Tara Frazier

Tara's love of design was born of necessity in Los Angeles at the end of the 80's when she became creator, editor, and publisher of an alternative music magazine. The skills she picked up while engaged in this labor of love paved the way to becoming the design and prepress manager at a large commercial print shop. During this time, she worked with a wide array of companies and organizations - from Christian schools to gay cruise lines, and everything inbetween! - helping them plan their print projects and designing a wide range of collateral.

In 1994, a little revolution called the World Wide Web first started to make a splash. Tara came to Pahoa to learn the basics of web design from her father, a software engineer and Pahoa resident. During her 8 months of studies, she fell madly in love with the windward side of the Big Island. She returned to southern California armed with a new set of skills and a longing to someday return and make Puna her home.

Back on the mainland, Tara worked as creative lead, first for a nightclub and then a large theatrical makeup company. During this 10 year period, she endeavored to expand her knowledge of design, marketing, project management, and the ever changing field of web development.

Finally in 2004 she was able to return to the Big Island and now lives happily in Pahoa. She is extremely excited to be working with Valerie and Windward Designs and is thrilled to have the chance to help contribute to our business community!
